Getting Things done!

My Goals are getting Accomplished!
Nowadays, time is of the esscense! I waste no time and treasure every little moment and make decisions very quickly to get things done.  Before when I was working FT and taking care of the kids, I'd always sort of put things of for another rainy day or would procrasinate at the last minute.  Now, it's ready, set, action and go get them done!

So here's what I've already gotten done so far.
1. Ethan just got enrolled in a great Full Time, 5 days full days preschool. His education is so important so we can't compromise it. We tried to home school but its very hard and distracting for him.
2. Kids are all set with their immunizations and will be updated with dental cleanings too!
3. Hubby is also done with physical check up and will get chest x-ray done since he has been a smoker.
4. Kindergarten enrollment is in the works for Ethan since we just moved to this area for 1 month.
5. I've started preplanning service for my own memorial service. Just need to do some reading and calls to arrange what packet, location and prices. Hope to get this done soon.
6. Ethan and Ellen are enrolled in 2 days per week swim lessons at the nearby YMCA! They can't wait to get started!
7. Nanny is working out great!
8. House hunting is in the works too!
9.  Applications for assistance and to Dream Foundation and or to Jack and Jill are in pending completion from my Doctor.
10. College Coverdell education and savings account completed for all three kids! All donations will be divided equally among all three towards their education, lessons and or childcare costs.

  1. Fawn have you considered other alternative treatments like The CyberKife?

  7. Hello Fawn,

I know what you're going through as I have recently went through surgery to remove my tumor as well. It was little less than 3 weeks ago. At first, when I was informed that I had a tumor, it felt like the world has collapsed on me. After the surgery, the pathology report confirmed that it was malignant. Fortunately, I was told it was a low grade, and they were able to remove the whole tumor out. I will have to live the next 5 years with follow ups with CT Scan, to make sure it doesn't recur. It's challenging to carry on with life yet battle with the unknown. I'm generally not emotional, but this thing they call cancer has surely humble me and made me more emotional than I need to be. Like yourself, I moved to Cupertino and planned for the kids future. I hope you stay positive, and live as long as you possible could. You never know. Even Lance Armstrong lived beyond his wildest dream. I plan on living another 30 years, so keep your hopes up and I hope you live long enough to see your kids graduate college.

    Regards

    Jack

  8. Hi Fawn,

My thoughts and wishes are with you and your family. I recently lost my partner to lung cancer (adenocarcinoma). Your approach of not sweating the small stuff and living life to the max is very important. My single biggest piece of advice is to maintain and if possible gain weight.

  9. Hi Fawn,

I am sorry to hear about your situation.

My wife was diagnosed with stage 4 NSCLC over 3.5 years ago. She was given 6 months to a year max. Although she recently passed away she defied the odds with her faith and a drug called Tarceva. With Tarceva she went 3 years without chemo. Tarceva is made by Genentech. If you have not already, please talk to your oncologist about it.

If you would like to contact me please email me at dave@thirddayinteriors.com.

I will be praying for you and your family.

    Dave

  10. Think you very much on a very special day of Mother's Day. I wish you the best, and your family. Have you heard The Secret? I don't know if it works, but what we loose if we have belief, faith; and you have so much strength and courage. Together we pray. Always. Miracle does happen because we pray always.
    Dear Fawn,
    Please stay strong and positive.
    My admiration to you.
    Love,
    Ngoc Mai
